Most Active Agent ~ Proud Moment

Its a new season where everyone is learning to cope with WFH and HBL, so am I. I'm so appreciative to clients who have been so accommodating in adopting the # newnorms of moving financial planning online. I am humbled and thankful to be the 𝑻𝒐𝒑 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑨𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕. To me, its not the title that matters, but its an 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 to my clients, even in the face of uncertainties. I believe that while we cannot predict the future, we can protect it, 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. Stay safe and healthy. P/S: It's also an affirmation that God provides for me, regardless of the situation. He is Jehovah Jireh.
Fall, my favourite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature has been saving up all year for the grand finale. We are nearing the end of circuit breaker. Let us continue to press on, keep our spirits up, and stay safe. Jia you everyone!

Happy Mother's Day to Mummy

This is my favourite pic of my mum and me. It captured everything about our relationship. Not only did she took care of my needs, she sheltered me from every storms. She stood quietly behind me all these years, so she can have my back each time. It wasn't easy raising 6 children. She had to work multiple jobs to provide for us. She would leave the house by 530am for work, even on weekends. ... Growing up, I remember her being tired always. Every night, her body would ache, so she would fall asleep with pain relief plasters all over her back & legs. Yet not once did I ever hear her complain. She took everything in her stride, bite the bullets and pressed on, because of her unconditional love for us. I would never have known the life I'm living today, if not for her love and sacrifices. I love you mummy. Miss you too.

Grace - Unmerited Favor, Freely Given

It's been a month of circuit breaker. A month away from extended family & friends. 𝑨𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅. ... Truth be told, I don't fancy cooking on a daily affair. So to the family and friends that blessed us with so much food on a daily affair, you filled my heart with so much joy! We bask in the love that you have showered on us, such an honor and privilege. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖! Some days, it help me skip an entire day's of cooking. Some days, I'd underestimate the portion when cooking. And God always shows up, right on time. There never fail to be another surprise delivery of food. Every blessing reflects the magnitude of God's love for us. Each delivery was so apt, indeed He knows every single need we have. I stand even more amazed by how all the deliveries seem so well-coordinated by itself. They don't arrive at one shot, but were spread out almost daily, ensuring a constant supply of food. God makes the perfect logistic...

Where is God in the midst of Covid-19?

As the death toll increase, my heart aches increasingly each day. They aren't just numbers, but they are a mother, a father, a brother, a sister, a child to someone. I have many unanswered questions. Why did God allow them to die? Why did God not heal the land when He is almighty God? I am not angry at God; I am upset at the situation. I have no answer to date, but I cannot deny the presence of God each day at home. Even when my family is all locked up at home due to our Stay Home Notice, God remains faithful. He is omnipresent. I'm so thankful for His Shalom peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding that guards our heart. In the midst of the chaos, He is my tower of refuge. He is not deaf; He hear my cries, even the silent ones. He knows my brokenness. There are many uncertainties, but I know He is a faithful God. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. My income have been drastically affected, but my future remains in Him. Circumstances may have ...

Choose Who You Want To Be During Covid.

Let's us take ownership of what we share on social media, especially during this time. It's a good opportunity for us to learn and grow together, to encourage our fellow brethren. When fear is the compass of our life, our attention centers on the current situation and on ourselves. But when we choose to learn and grow together, we can then adapt to the new lifestyle and still enjoy living in the moment to the fullest. We have a choice to take this opportunity to enjoy stay ing home or be upset about our plans being disrupted. When we are at the growing stage, we will also start to see others, and to support each other through this difficult season. Seasons don't last, but the lessons we'll learnt will last a lifetime. # staystrongtogether # togetherwecan

Where is God when it Hurts?

"Simply follow Jesus through the Gospels and watch his response to a widow who lost her only son, or even a Roman soldier whose servant has fallen ill. Never does he blame the victim or philosophise about the cause. Always, without exception, He responds with compassion, comfort, and healing. Christians believe that Jesus is, as Colossians tells us, “the exact likeness of the unseen God” (Colossians 1:15, TLB). Jesus’ followers are God’s designated agents of comfort and help, ... the literal “Body of Christ”. If you want to know how God feels about people who are suffering, look at Jesus. God is on their side. Jesus knew suffering up close, as a willing victim of our planet’s brokenness. And when He ascended, He sent his followers into the world “as the Father has sent me”, to be God’s agents of comfort and healing. In a lovely phrase, the apostle Paul refers to the God of all comfort, “who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble wi...

Snippets of our Stay Home Notice

My family is currently serving SHN & we fully support this government measure. We chose to go ahead with our recent trip as the situation of SG & the place we were visiting was rather calm then. However, things unexpectedly deteriorated quickly in SG while we were away. It was a good decision & rightful of SG government to impose SHN to protect its residents. QO/SHN/LOA is a measure my family & anyone affected must strictly adhere to. Unfortunately, our SHN had inconvenient ... others (eg ICA officers, school admin). The least we can do is to fully cooperate & make their work as easy as possible. When the sms are sent for an update of our locations, we try to respond fast to cut down the extra work to call us if we didn't respond within an hour. For grocery & food deliveries, we got the delivery guys to drop the bags at our doorsteps without contact to play safe. Everyday, we'll take our girls' temperature & update their school via a go...

Goodbye 2018!

Coming to the end of the year, the best gift I had was a glimpse of God's faithfulness and love for our family 💖 The last 2 months were challenging and hectic. It was a very crucial time in my work. I need to hit the target for Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) by end Dec 🎯 101% focus is required in this last lap 🏃🏻‍♀️ But it was also the girls' school holidays, and we had lined up travel plans half a year ago ✈ I have their 2019 school stuffs to settle. We'd made grand plans of spending time together 👩‍👧‍👧 And serving in the church camp falls in this season. Unexpectedly, James had to travel extensively for work during this period. Each time he travels, we wouldn't know when he would be back. Even then, on the very day he's due to be back, things can always change & he'll need to extend his stay there. And each trip was usually 2-3 weeks long. Then the girls fell sick, with high fever. I didn't just had commitments to meet, they w...

Christmas is about family too 💖🎄🎁

Christmas Day 🎄 was spent at Aunt Stella house with the cousins. Always thankful how Aunt Stella is always generous in her love towards her nephews and their family 💖

MidWinter Green, Khao Yai

MidWinter Green is one of the most popular restaurants in Khao Yai, and it is understandably so once you experience it yourself. The outer building looks charming and mysterious like a typical European castle, and it looks like it has many stories to tell. The interior is tastefully renovated and clothed in grandeur. The outdoor dining area is very spacious, overlooking the magnificent view of mountains behind the green fields. MidWinter Green is also a nice spot for sunset. The sky changes color to a beautiful hue of purple and pink as the sun begins to set. Do take note the sun starts to set about 545pm in December when we were there, and it gets dark pretty fast after that. The live band that starts at 630pm was good, and the light show at 8pm reminded me of the ones I saw at Universal Studios Sentosa. There are some lovely spots scattered around the compound that are so insta-friendly for the insta-lovers. Wha...

The Hobbit House (Part 2/2)

The Hobbits are nice people, they are worried we'll get a little tired of the Shrine. And so this mini town was built inside their town. This was a nice change of scenery after seeing Hobbit House upon Hobbit House for a while 😅 They have also just completed the extension of the Santorini hotels, right next to the Hobbit House. So now you can have two options for accomodation. I don't really recommend staying at The Hobbit House though. Its just too far from almost every other attractions, at least 30-60 minutes drive away. Unless you are really into The Lord of The Rings and roleplay (yes they do offer roleplay costumes at very affordable rates!), you'll probably finish combing the place and taking hundreds of pictures in 2 hours time. And to be honest, the place isn't properly upkept. The paintworks on the hobbit house are fading, the plants are wildly growing everywhere and where they aren't supposed to be. I had a quick ...

Missing Mummy

Today is the exact day my mum left us 3 years ago. The first year was the toughest. The first of everything without her - CNY, her birthday, Mother's Day, Xmas etc. Her absence became the new "normal" in our lives. It was the beginning of the constant struggle between letting go and holding on. On one hand, life goes on and letting go becomes inevitable. Yet there's a part of me that try to hang on, because I am afraid that when I let go, her memories will start to fade. As the old saying goes, God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. And I learnt that as I heal, her memories didn't fade. Thankful for the privilege to be born to an incredibly strong and beautiful woman, inside out, who demonstrated unconditional and sacrificial love to me 💖

Enya gotten "Best Conduct"!

We named her "Enya" because it means "fire" 🔥 We wanted her to be strong and passionate, to have the fire for Jesus. Well, she was HOT... she was also known as the "chilli padi 🌶"😅 Thank God it has been a while since we last heard somebody calling her that 😃 It has been an amazing journey to see how God has transformed her inside out 💗 We aren't perfect parents, but we can look 👀 to our Heavenly Father who is our perfect Father. He is our best example, & He has already given us the best manual 📖 Very proud of you, Enya! Keep on shining 🌟🔥 #bestconduct #parentingishardwork #partnershipwithGod

National Prayer Convocation

National Prayer Convocation, Singapore Sports Hub A nation came together to pray for the cornerstone of the nation, the government, the marriages, the families, the children, the weak, the vulnerables, and most importantly, for His will to be done as it is in Heaven. #praysingapore #lovesingapore #weareabodyofChrist #family #reconciliation #repentance #openheaven #revival #harvest #fieldsarewhite #storyofDunkirk

My hubby is also my car mechanic

So thankful the hubby is back, after 5 long weeks of being away! This morning, I told him that we need to go petrol station to pump tyre already, because the tyre seems like slightly dragging when I was driving. When we went to the car just now, imagine his horror when he asked me, "you didn't know the tyre is punctured?" 😱 I really didn't realise the tyre was punctured all these while, & I have no idea since when 😅 Really thank God for His protection all these while 🙏🏻 #marsvsvenus

This child is mine.

First read this book as a 17 years old student. Reading it again as a mother now, I comprehend the heart of God better. "There is another kid sitting on the curb today. And all it takes is one person to make a difference in that kid's life. (p.169) Whose child is this? This child is mine. (p.180)" Bill Wilson On a side note, konmarie gotten me back to my books 😍 #billwilson #metroministries #churchwithoutwalls #enlargingtent #homewithoutwalls #parentwithoutwalls #needmoregrace #konmarie
